It can be tax advantageous to donate shares to a charitable organization rather than selling the stock and donating the cash proceeds. Our treasurer has detailed out the options and process on how to take advantage of this type of donation. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/calgarytmc.ca\/uploads\/Donation%20in%20Kind%20Process.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Read more here<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Donation Receipts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Charitable receipts for current year donations will be emailed by the end of February the following year&nbsp;to addresses as indicated in the phone directory or physically mailed if emails were not available or if physical receipts were requested. Individuals who donated through Canada Helps should access their receipts through their website.
