What We Believe<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We are a Christ centred, Anabaptist-Mennonite congregation committed to following Jesus in life, faith, and service. Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture, shaped by the Holy Spirit, and expressed through community discernment and discipleship. We affirm the Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective (1995)*<\/strong> as a guide for our teaching, worship, and witness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. God and Scripture<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We believe in one God\u2014the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit\u2014who created and sustains all things. The Bible is the inspired Word of God and our authoritative guide for faith and life. We interpret Scripture through the lens of Jesus Christ, in community, and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Jesus Christ and Salvation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Through his life, teachings, death, and resurrection, God offers forgiveness, reconciliation, and new life. Salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith and expressed in a life of discipleship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. The Church<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We are part of the body of Christ, called to be a community of believers who worship, serve, and witness together. The church is a sign of God\u2019s kingdom, practicing mutual care, accountability, and shared leadership. We affirm the priesthood of all believers and value participatory worship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Discipleship and Peace<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We are called to follow Jesus in daily life, practicing love, humility, and nonviolence. As peacemakers, we reject war and violence, and seek justice, reconciliation, and healing in our relationships and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Baptism and Communion<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We practice believer\u2019s baptism as a sign of faith and commitment to Christ and the church. We celebrate the Lord\u2019s Supper as a remembrance of Jesus\u2019 sacrifice and a renewal of our covenant with God and one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Mission and Service<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We are sent into the world to share the good news of Jesus, serve others in love, and work for the transformation of society. We seek to discern and respond to the needs of our local community and the global church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Hope and the Reign of God<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We live in hope of the coming reign of God, when Christ will return to restore all things. Until then, we live as faithful stewards of God\u2019s creation, trusting in God\u2019s promises and participating in God\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
