Our fellowship is focused on following the teachings and example of Jesus Christ, who modelled non-violence, love of enemies, and service to others. Because we don\u2019t think we can do this in our own strength, we gather regularly in large and small groups to receive and experience the power of God\u2019s love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pastor:<\/strong> Dr. Nikayla Reize<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

She\/her\/hers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Nikayla Reize is a Canadian biblical scholar who was born and raised on Treaty 7 land. With a deep passion for embodied and collective liberation, she brings both heart and scholarship to her work. After 17 years of pastoring in Calgary, Nikayla has shared her love of learning and critical faith engagement by teaching in universities and churches across Canada. She now serves as an adjunct Professor of Religious Studies at St. Mary’s University in addition to shepherding the community of Trinity Mennonite Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Nikayla Reize is a gift to our small congregation with her energy, passion and love for all people.\u00a0 Her sermons are thought provoking and engaging.\u00a0 While not raised in Mennonite church, she has embraced Anabaptist theology and practice, actively researching and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She desires to be the pastor we need, welcomes all and is comfortable with deep discussion on societal conversations and both personal and corporate faith development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of you know Laura as a long standing member of TMC, and she has served our community in many different capacities over the years: Children’s Ministry, Christian Education, Worship, Council Executive. She has a heart to learn and to love. She endorses the many ministries of our extended Mennonite partners as well, and is grateful for the Kingdom work we do. She enjoys reading, crafts, cooking, board games and spending time with her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
